Conferences and Seminars.
In addition to all the teaching we do locally, both Rev. Laurence Windham and Dr. R.C. Sproul Jr. do a significant amount of teaching at conferences and seminars around the country. We have addressed everything from the sovereignty of God to family relationships to education to the doctrine of justification, to a Christian view of the state, to how to live more simple, separate and deliberate lives.
Highlands Ministries’ Conferences can be purchased on our online store.
Dr. R.C. Sproul Jr.’s teaching ministry has long had a national and even international reach. He has spoken in most of the states and in eleven foreign countries.

Host a Conference with Dr. R.C. Sproul Jr.
Because of the expense of coming to southern Virginia, many folks have opted to instead invite Dr. Sproul to come to them for a camp for pastors or a camp for couples or just a church retreat. And he is glad to do so. For more information on how this just might work, please contact Eric Owens at the ministry office via phone (877) 878-2238 or email him if you’d like to have Rev. Laurence Windham or Dr. R.C. Sproul Jr. speak at your conference. Also, find out how you can host a Highlands Ministries conference or a Camp for Couples or Camp for Pastors in your hometown.

Almighty Over All- This series of addresses considers the sovereignty of God over every sphere of life, from before the beginning of time to the consummation of the kingdom of God. Tearing Down Strongholds- This series of addresses looks at how the world around us determines what is true, and tests each of these epistemologies against themselves, showing them to be only folly. It covers worldviews from logical positivism to behaviorism to relativism. It can also include talks on the make-up of a sound biblical understanding of knowledge, and how it is attained. Based on the book Tearing Down Strongholds.
Bound For Glory- This series of addresses looks at the biblical model of the family, covering the call of a husband, of a wife and of children, as well as the relationship of the family to the church. It covers the creation of Adam and Eve, as well as Paul’s admonitions to the family in Ephesians 5 and 6. Based on the book Bound for Glory.
When You Rise Up- This series of addresses covers what we can learn about education from Deuteronomy chapter 6. It affirms that God calls parents to teach their children who God is, what God has done and what God requires, and affirms that we are called to do this in the context of our lives, when we lie down and when we rise up. It likewise covers the goal of education, arguing that education is nothing more than learning the character of God. Based on the book When You Rise Up.
Biblical Economics- This series of addresses considers what we can learn from the Bible about how we are given our daily bread. It considers our call to exercise dominion over the creation for the glory of God. It looks at the dangers of debt, as well as the destructive nature of government interference with market forces. Based on the book Biblical Economics.
Believing God- This series of addresses looks at a series of promises the Bible makes, that Christians have a hard time believing. It seeks to encourage Christians to enter into the fullness of God’s grace, and to rejoice in it. Promises include “If anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask the Father…” “If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins…” and others. Based on the book Believing God.
The Spirit of the Fruit- This series of addresses considers the nature of the fruit of the Spirit, and the defining characteristics of each of the fruit. Built out of Galatians 5, this series encourages believers to grow in grace, which is noting more than to become more like Jesus.
The Bride of Christ- This series of addresses considers what the Bible has to say about the nature and calling of the church. It encourages Christians to recognize and rejoice in the authority of the church, and in its familial nature. It considers how God’s covenant dealings with His people shape our understanding of the church.

Simple, Separate and Deliberate- This series of addresses covers our calling as Christians to make known the reign of Christ by being a people set apart and distinct from the world around us. In addition it looks to the subtlety of the serpent in shaping our thinking about the reign of Christ.
Dr. Sproul is also happy as well to construct a series of talks that more accurately meet your needs. He is comfortable speaking to biblical, theological, philosophical and cultural issues.
