I’ve spent enough time in quiet time studying and meditating on Scripture to have learned this: the Bible does not require me to have a quiet time. I’ve read the Bible all the way through and the command just isn’t there. It’s a shock I know. That I can virtually hear the gasps of you readers is strong evidence that “quiet time” has become an evangelical icon.
